The HMS Beagle Launch in Parkville MO went great! Lief reported that there were over 93 launches on Saturday, including a visit from the Turner High School Science Club. Lief also launched an Oracle video rocket twice. The first time it almost landed on the pad. On the second round , however, it landed on the roof of some of the local shops on the English Landing. The fire department eventually came and retrieved the rocket, but the video was lost.

Blake also had an episode on his first composite motor launch. While Money to Burn was ready to go on the pad with a D21-4, it experience a CATO! The prepellant was untouched by the igniter, but the outer casing was destroyed at ignition. It destroyed the engine mount inside the rocket with a nice BANG.There were other mulitple sport launches inbetween heats, including several spools from Randall. Blake also sent up his Sky Hook on a  Quest B6-4 . It almost landed on the roof with Lief's Oracle rocket, but instead it landed behind the buiding. Another flyer had his Space Ship One rocket land on the roof, but it slid down to a lower awning and was able to be retrieved with one of Randall's tall rockets by Allen.

About ten volunteers arrived at the launch field between 9:00 am and 9:30am.  The winds were calm in the morning, but picked up as the day moved along. It was a very overcast sky and relatively cool. Almost everyone was wearing a jacket or a sweatshirt. It was a great day to launch and everyone had a great time doing it. After the event was all over Lief gave all of the volunteers T-Shirts and several of us went over to the Iron Horse Cafe on the corner.

THANKS FOR LETTING US HELP YOU WITH THE EVENT LIEF!!!!!!
